The nine that matter: broken-in waterproof boots, gaiters or long thick socks, garden gloves for nettles and vines, a rain jacket that actually works, long trousers and sleeves, 2 litres of water, energy snacks, a dry bag for the camera, and a walking pole.
Wear neutral colours. Leave the umbrella, the heavy tripod, the new boots and the cotton hoodie. Everything else your porter can carry — and you should hire one.
